This study quantifies the U.S. monochrome cutsheet print-on-demand (POD) and production printing market in detail, analyzing issues, trends, and future outlook. The total light-production, midproduction, and production print volume will decline from 359.7 billion pages in 2005 to 308.9 billion pages in 2010, a CAGR of -3%. Although in-plants/CRDs will see faster declines, they retain the dominate proportion of total print volume. At 111 billion pages by 2010, this segment will account for 36% of total volume. Also by 2010, Datacenters will account for 24% of total volume, with 74 billion pages being printed.
