This IDC study looks at each of the individual areas analysed by IDC New Zealand. In particular, this study provides a situation overview, future outlook, and market forecast for New Zealand markets, namely IT services, packaged software, server, PC, peripherals, and LAN.
"Total spending on IT products and services in New Zealand is expected to climb from NZ$4.8 billion in 2005 to NZ$6.0 billion in 2010. Whilst the economy is expected to slow down in the earlier years as factors such as high interest rates, a large trade deficit, and high consumer debt begin to take effect, the New Zealand IT market is expected to remain relatively strong with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.5%," says Liam Gunson, senior analyst, Hardware Research, IDC New Zealand.
