Pharmacies dominate due to restricted distribution
Pharmacies remained the major sales channel for OTC Healthcare in Greece in 2004. The only OTC products not exclusively sold through pharmacies ere some cough and cold remedies, medicated skin care, wound treatments and vitamins and dietary supplements. Changes concerning the framework governing OTC in Greece are expected in the second half of 2005, following publication by the Minister for Health – of the newly elected conservative government – of a New Pharmaceutical Policy.
