This Forecast Update reiterates our forecast for the worldwide identity and access management market and includes a forecast of the IAM submarket segments. Additionally, IDC examines trends shaping the 2006 IAM market and looks ahead to 2007 market dynamics.
This market does not currently include smart card revenue or revenue realized from identity and access management services. For 2006 year-end forecasting purposes, federation is classified as a competitive market, with the bulk of revenue found in the Web SSO submarket and some revenue in the provisioning and advanced authentication submarkets.
