Small Canadian businesses, although relatively unsophisticated as a whole in terms of IT security, have enough diversity within size and vertical groups for IT vendors to target these groups. "Although size is important when analyzing small business data, it is within vertical markets that diversity of IT security needs emerges", says Joe Greene IDC Canada Security analyst. "Understanding this will help IT vendors more effectively target the small business market."
