This study illustrates a new trend in the Australian market. The IT security agenda focus is shifting from simply putting security applications on the network to seeking ways to ensure IT security through the network itself. As a result of this trend or perhaps leading it, network equipment providers and telcos are increasing their focus on security services. Accordingly, representatives of these new entrants are profiled in addition to two of the largest IT services firms in the country, HP and IBM.
